ROLF PILVE

I am Rolf Pilve, 32-year-old professional drummer and drum teacher from Helsinki, Finland. I graduated from Pop & Jazz Conservatory in 2015 and I have been teaching privately for the last 10 years. I have also taught in Rytmimusiikkiopisto Tauko and Musiikkikoulu Music Center and I’m a part of international Drum Technique Academy, which specializes in extreme metal drumming and techniques related issues.

 

As a teacher my priority is to get the students to reach their goals. Every student is an individual, so the lessons are customized to serve the goals of the student the best possible way. I have a lot of students with different backgrounds and ages and everybody willing to learn are welcomed to my lessons.

 

As a drummer my main job is playing drums for Stratovarius, one of the biggest heavy metal bands in Finland. I have had the privilege to tour all over the world with Stratovarius and played some of the biggest festivals in Europe. I also work as freelance drummer and I've played shows and recorded with some of the household names in the industry:
